- Dissolve Saffron in 1-2 tbsp. of warm milk and mix it with remaining milk. Keep aside
- Heat 2 Tbsp. ghee in a pan or wok.
- Add ½ cup dry fruits and roast them until they turn light golden brown.
- Add 2 Cups Semolina, stir often and roast till it become fragrant and changes its color. Roast it for around 5-6 minutes on a slow flame.
- Now add ½ cup desiccated coconut, mix well and roast for another 2-3 min on slow flame.
- Add 1 cup of sugar when nice aroma of semolina and coconut starts coming out and mix well.
- Dissolve Saffron in 1-2 tbsp. of warm milk and mix
it with remaining milk. (keep it ready)
- Add Cardamom powder and stir.
- Add saffron mix milk in parts and keep on stirring and mix very well.
- Turn off the flame once all the milk is absorbed.
- Add 1 tbsp. of remaining ghee. It will give nice and smooth texture and good taste of ghee.
- Shape them into small round balls when the mixture is still warm and you can handle the heat. You can grease your palm with ghee for making balls.
- Roll the balls in desiccated coconut, cool and store in an air-tight container.
