Fresh Garlic Chutney


"Fresh Garlic Chutney is a must-have ingredient if you wish to recreate the magic of Indian street food!!! The aroma of garlic is unmistakable and pungent which lends its vibrant flavor to classic roadside recipes like Kutchhi Dabeli, Paav Bhaji and Sev Puri.  Made with easily available ingredients like garlic, chili powder and lemon juice, this chutney is super quick and very easy to prepare.  Make your batch in advance and store refrigerated in an airtight container up to two weeks."

Ingredients

1.
Fresh garlic cloves
¼ cup
2.
Kashmiri red chili powder
2 Tbsp.

Lemon juice
1 ½ Tbsp.
4.
Sugar
1 Pinch
5.
Salt
To taste
6.
Water
¼ cup or as required.

  1. Combine all the ingredients with approx. ¼ cup of water in a grinder. Grind it into a smooth paste.
  2. Store in an air-tight container and refrigerate. Use as required.
  3. I used this recipe while makingKutchhi Dabeli and served with PaavBhaaji.
