Strawberry Salsa



"Strawberry Salsa is a colorful, flavorful and very easy to make perfect spring or summer party appetizer. It might seem strange to use strawberry in salsa. But it’s a very fun way to change your regular salsa with a simple twist. Try out this beautiful party appetizer.  Have fun & Enjoy summer"

Ingredients

1.
Strawberry (Sliced ¼ inch thin quartered)
2 cups
2.
Jalapeno
½-1 piece
3.
Red onion, finely chopped
¼ cup
4.
Cilantro, finely chopped
¼ cup
5.
Maple syrup/Honey
1 Tsp.
6.
Black pepper
To taste
7.
Lemon juice
To taste
8.
Sea salt
To taste.

  1. Chop strawberry, onion, jalapeño and cilantro
  2. In a large bowl stir in the strawberries, jalapeño, onion and cilantro.  Season with salt and pepper and mix well. 
  3. Squeeze in lemon for acidity and maple/honey for sweetness as per your taste.
  4. If your strawberries are nice and juicy, serve immediately with tortilla chips. 
  5. Else keep it aside for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  6. Store leftovers Salsa refrigerated in an airtight box up to 3 days.
