Besan Ladoo


Besan Ladoo: A traditional Indian sweet made with just 3 core ingredients- Besan, ghee and sugar. Besan is gram flour or chickpea flour. For this recipe thick or coarse besan also known as ladoo besan works best. To make these ladoos I always go by 1:2:4  ratio of ghee, sugar and besan. Adding dry fruit is very optional.   These ladoos are mostly prepared during festivals but you can definitely prepare these anytime of the year. Paneer Tikka Masala Curry


Paneer Tikka Masala is a very famous Indian curry dish. A preparation where marinated and grilled Paneer also known as cottage cheese is simmered in creamy-spicy onion-tomato based gravy. Along with Paneer I like to have diced onion and bell pepper tikka also in my curry. The recipe ingredients list and preparation might look long and time consuming but trust me many things go side by side while in making. Originally “Tikkas” are cooked in Tandoor which gives a subtle smoky charcoal flavor to the dish.  For this recipe I have grilled marinated paneer and veggies on tawa which taste equally good. Grilled Caprese Sandwich


Caprese sandwich is classic Italian vegetarian sandwich – made from pesto sauce, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, balsamic glaze, seasoned with fresh ground pepper and salt. I like my caprese sandwich with sour dough bread but you can choose your choice of bread. I always add arugula for extra green which is optional, but if its handy do add arugula. Pyaaj ki Kachori/Stuff Onion Fried pastry



"Pyaaj ki kachori- A mouthwatering delicacy from Rajasthan, India. Pyaaj ki Kachori is very famous in Jaipur, Rajasthan and being a Jaipurite how come I not share this yum recipe with you all. A perfect kachori is one that is puffed up crispy and flaky outside but hollow inside as the filling sticks to the crust. As name suggests Pyaaj/Onion is main ingredient used to prepare this recipe stuffing with some whole crushed spices and some dry spices. Then the stuffing is stuffed into soft dough and is deep-fried on a slow flame to achieve that deliciously crisp crust outside and hollow, well-cooked inside. This crispy, flaky deep-fried pastry with spicy, tangy, sweet stuffing is perfect snack for a rainy day or for tea time. Taste best when served hot with Coriander chutney or with Tea."
